Changing The Guard is a book written to promote awareness of our current political situation. It is about a coup d'etat of the American Presidency and all of Congress. It is written in a non-violent format that promotes citizen involvement using their intellect instead of muscle. This is not a story of guns blazing and politicians dying, although that may be interesting, it is not the story I was trying to write about.
The purpose of writing this book was to make the average citizen and voter research their candidates and their policies. Because someone appears to be a nice guy does not mean they will represent a person's best interest when in office. Too many times our politicians are in it solely for the great amount of money they can make from special interest groups.
President George W. Bush owns a copy and I believe that everyone should too. It is a book of awareness of our current day situations and highlights the foundation of what our fore-fathers wanted our country to represent to protect its' citizens.
